im wondering if there is an ability throughout these forums to track different threads without actually commenting.

im a new drupal user and come across "How Do I" style questions that i need the answer for as well. as i dont have much to contribute, i would like to follow the post to see if people respond.

is there a way to do this?

I presume he means "subscribe" ... so that he can track it on his own user tracking page.

And it's sorely needed on these forums - as is "unsubscribe"

i do have a recent posts area, but often times it fills up and changes so quickly that i cant keep track of certain threads

looking for something similar. Some way of subscribing to the comment thread (not for email notifications) but for a purpose of tracking a discussion that I am interested in. Something that could show up on your profiles tab as a "Subscribed Topics" or something. That would be great.

I didn't find it within Drupal, but found web service: co.mments. It allows you to track comments on any original post.
