Description
Just curious as to the nature of the problem that makes this module unusable. Just evaluating the module so I can better plan out the work im doing on my site, and the severity of the problem and the expectations for its solution would be useful.
http://drupal.org/node/374730 is it this issue? Is it the performance issue?
If there is no open issue related to it, could you explain a little about the current state of the module? Hope this is not too much trouble.

I have the same question. This module would be helpful to my site but the message on the module page is not ignorable...

Would please test this module and let me know if you find any problems other than the performance issue .
Best, Paul

I gave it a try and besides the performance hit(which was killer) I found it to be very awkward to administrate, and it didn't seem to work properly at all in general. I set up some content types to be required in a group, but when I navigated to the group, the content creation links weren't even there. Not for types allowed in any group or types restricted to that particular group.
I also don't understand why there's a 'sitewide' settings area where the 'allow' column was checked completely and grayed out(what the heck?). This isn't supposed to manage site wide permissions, right? Just organic group nodes.
I think the module would be better off getting a list of nodes allowed within groups only instead of all content types like it seems to now, and then display them in a "global group settings" area with check boxes for "allow in all groups" for each content type, and then the per group settings area which you already have so we can designate their allowed types specifically.
