I think we should create a new release soon and would like to get a list of bugs to fix before then.
* #485778: simpletests for email registration
* #485768: e_notice compliance for email_registration
* #404726: Spanish translation for email registration
* #375256: French translation for email registration
* #375238: German translation
Anything else?

I committed most of these and provided a file for the simpletest one. I'd like to create a new release as early as Thursday of this week if that works for other people.

thanks for reviving this project. there are a few bug reports with patches in the issue queue, I think it would be nice to address some of those before creating a new release.

Ok - I reviewed some of the patches.
Not ready to go: #421078: Rewrite name unique check so it is cross-database compatible, #401890: + character not stripped from email address, #377262: Log user in after registration.
Committed: #247717: provide a hook so other modules can help generate the user name.
I don't like the idea: #377262: Log user in after registration.
That covers all the patches that are "needs review". If one or more of them gets an updated patch by tomorrow then we should include them. Otherwise I think they can wait until the next release.
