Description

Any chance of getting this to work with the Google Custom Search module? I have tried every search solution. Nothing delivered faster, better results than GCSE - and with trivial overhead.

Hi eyecon

In the latest Dev Commit, there is a new option in the settings page of Search404 to redirect the normal 404 error to do a Google Search if the Google CSE Module is enabled.

Do check it out and let me know your thoughts on it. If things go fine, I can include this as a new feature in the next release.

I put this in production today (http://www.tips-q.com). Feel free to give it a try.

I figured that I better add a "Disallow: /search/" to robots.txt to prevent the little bots from getting all confused. Although, looking at the server log, it returns a '302' first. I think that this should be a '202' instead.

I am also using the search suppress module.

Syslog is configured and I am watching a tail on a local machine.

Looks good. This seems to be working quite well.

Thank you very much for your hard work and a fine module. Thus far it seems to do exactly what is expected exactly how it is expected.
