Hello everyone,
I'm using Privatemsg 6.x-1.x-dev on which I added 2 patches the patch "dispplay links settings" to integrate PM links on nodes and also applied the "popups API integration" patch.
I want to know howw to display the PM form directly in the node, with the author as recipient automatically filled, also how to display the form in a block which I can display on several and as well recipient filled if the node author's is retrievable.

I am looking for something similar, I think.
I would like the PM form to be displayed in a block but with a specific user already populated in the "to" field. Is this even possible?

Sure.
I've started a documentation page about how to do this since such information usually gets lost in closed issues.
