Anyone know if it is possible to get Views Slideshow module to work with some JQuery effects. For example instead of just fading in I would like to have images slide in from either the left or right or possibly even pixelate in like this example http://www.gamespot.com/.
Here is what I have got so far running with just View Slideshow alone. Any help in the right direction is greatly appreciated!

Have a look instead at either DDBlock or Views Cycle, both of which use the jQuery Cycle plugin and comes with a variety of alternate effects you can choose from. I don't know of any that use the transition effect you've shown however (seems like a blur effect). After a cursory search I'm not positive whether jQuery can do that (the example you showed uses Flash).
Here's a comparison as well as links to info and demos of most/all of the rotating-content modules for Drupal: http://drupal.org/node/418616
Thanks for the information. I
Thanks for the information. I never heard of views cycle but I will have a look at it. I may just create a flash slideshow that integrates with Drupal. Although I tend to stay away from flash on a normal site, I'm beginning to realize that it's almost the same thing as having modules that have various dependencies such as javascript. At least flash is sort of an all-in-one package.
Thank You Great Article
