How to format CCK field to show image

Hi
I have got a CCK field with an url to an Image file from another website. I cannot figure how to format the CCK field show me the image from the provided url.
I was assigning new formatter - image_plain but it didn't help. Could you give me advice how to format that bloody CCK field.
