I am seeing the menu when I'm logged in as user 1 but not when I'm logged out - how do I get the drop down menus to show for anonimous users?

Are you sure the pages that are linked to the menu items are published? is the menu path node/add?

This is a menu/perms/something else problem, not nice menus.
