The FileField Paths module provides a very similar feature to this module.
Would you consider merging your project with that one and collaborating with it's authors?
Otherwise, it would be great if you could document what makes this module different so that people can make a good decision about which one to use.

looks to me like the upload path module works with the core upload module where as filefield paths works with filefield module.
Looks like upload path came before filefield path per the date on the project pages.

Hi VeryMisunderstood,
This is actually a common misunderstanding ( :) ), FileField Paths actually support FileField/ImageField (1.0), Core Upload module (1.1) and Comment Upload module (current dev build).
I had considered renaming the module after I introduced the Core Upload module integration prior to 1.1, but was dissuaded by many developers in IRC.
You are, however correct about the dates.
Either way, I had suggested to davawthomas, a few months back, the possibility of discussing the options on this front, but he was too busy at the time.
