Content Type "Name" Not Showing Up in URL. Ex: sitename/content rather than sitename/book-reviews...

horrorview - June 11, 2009 - 18:06

Hey Folks!

I've run into a little problem. I can't seem to figure out why a CCK type's "name" isn't showing up in the URL.

For example, I've already got a CCK Type called Movie Reviews, and am using the Views glossary to list them. Each review comes up as Horrorview.net/movie-reviews/name of movie. It all works wonderfully!

However, I added a Book Review CCK Type, and am using a Views Page to list those. The page, itself, comes up as Horrorview.net/book-reviews, but, when I click on an individual review, they come up as Horrorview.net/content/name of book rather than book-reviews/name of book.

I've gone over the steps a thousand times, compared my Views, my CCK types, etc, to no avail. I'm not using breadcrumbs, taxonomy, or custombreadcrumbs modules, as I just can't get my head around them. I know I probably missed something stupid, but, after hours of going over forum posts and Google, I can't figure out what I did wrong!!!

Any ideas??

Thanks!
JIM

Anyone have any input on

horrorview - June 16, 2009 - 12:54

Anyone have any input on this? I think I can rule out Views. I'm guessing it's a CCK thing, but I've a/b'd my content types and the settings are the same on both, save for the fact that one displays properly in the URL (ie horrorview.net/movie-reviews/alien) while the other defaults to content (horrorview.net/content/hannibal rather than book-reviews/hannibal).

It makes me sad :(

pathauto?

I don't know anything about Views Glossary, but the fact that you're seeing content/hannibal makes me think that the Pathauto module is responsible. Check your settings for the Pathauto module. The default path for Book Reviews should be book-reviews/[title-raw] or something like that.

And that did it!! LOL!

And that did it!! LOL!

Thanks, grobemo! I knew it was something silly I'd overlooked. I kept digging for bigger problems than I actually had!! GROAN!!

Thanks again, mate! It's much appreciated!

Don't worry. That kind of thing happens to all of us!
