What is this supposed to do?

It would seem I can't get this module to do anything. I believe it is setup close to how it should be. Perhaps I'm using too new a version of ldap_integration. I see that a couple of versions have come out and this module hasn't kept up. I was hoping to extend this module into a CCK field module where you can designate a look-up field during node add/edit but where the rest of the fields you want displayed all display upon node view. So, for example, what I'd like to do is have users enter an email address during node edit, but then show several fields on the actual node. Get it? It would be cool, don't you think? Can someone help me get this working in my environment?
