Google Analytics Tracking Unknown or Not Verified frustration solved

Just in case someone else was having a problem.
After adding Google_Analytics module and setting it up with GA tracking UA-xxx-x. I could not get google to verify the website. Checked all known issues in the GA module issues section. And troubleshooted it using the GA Modules's handbook. Verified that the code was in the html of my page.
The issue was solved by following the steps to take you to your tracking code again on your google analytics account.

I was going in there to copy and paste the code manually into my website and but pnce I clicked onto that page. The status started registering. It was almost like it refreshed when I went in there.
