Firstly, the new location_taxonomy.module being worked on for Location is great - it was the missing link in the organisation of my node locations!
I can see that many users are going to spend a lot of time now assigning locations to taxonomy terms. I think a valuable add-on might be the ability to import and export them.
I can imagine that about half of the users of this feature are going to associate Location like this with taxonomy:
United States --> Kansas --> Topeka
(Country --> Region --> City)
Now imagine how much work would be needed for a user to enter all of the cities in the US in this manner? Then imagine the rest of the world...
I think having a collection of importable, user created taxonomy terms (already linked to a Location) could be a next step. I think it would be a really valuable asset for this excellent new feature of the Location module.

dman commentedI'd be interested in supporting anything appropriate in the taxonomy_xml module that would enhance location taxonomy sharing.
I already distribute a 'US States and Counties" sample taxonomy with the project, and would be interested in forming a repository for more such importable taxa.
Is there anything unique about location taxonomy vs normal Drupal taxonomies?

ankur commentedMy recommendation would be using the views_bonus module in 6.x and the views_data_export module in 7.x
