I need a single login system for both drupal and IPB. Ideally I would like someone to develop this module for my personal use then I would sponsor a release for the community.

Okay, i see. So what makes IPB better if they are both just a forum?

Just personal preference.

I personally like vb better but the forum already exists.

Well, IIRC Vbulletin is open source and IPB is pay ware.
