Hi I've read the posting rules and I hope this isn't considered spam. I noticed that there are many in search of a good Drupal host so I thought that I would share with you a little about www.DixelHost.com while we wait to here back for our request to be added to the Drupal Service Provider Page.

DixelHost supports Drupal and offers free hosting with cPanel, Fantastico, Installatron, PHP, CGI, PERL, FTP, up to 17GB disk space and 170GB bandwidth + lots more and it's all free. DixelHost is a FREE "post to host" service, so all you have to do in return for the hosting is post in the forum. The link below is through google translator because DixelHost is currently a Spanish community but soon it will be bi-lingual (English / Spanish). Check it out for yourself, the support is great and the features are awesome. I hope this info comes in handy for a some of you.

Happy Drupling :) :D

Hey all,

The world is full of amazing things, for sure!

Intrestingly, now most of the shared hostings are allowing unlimited Hosting Space, unlimited domains, unlimited databases and unlimited everything.
I suppose this is a good news.

But what abot the PHP memory?

We would like to hear from the people who have hit the ceiling, especialy with the PHP memory allocation allowed or the Hosts allowing atleast 124M.

Thanks in advance.

JK

All the reputable web hosting providers have the ability to edit php.ini, which can allow you to edit the php memory setting.

That's very true and just in case you do not have access to php.ini you should be able to change the paramaters using .htaccess

You do can change php.ini or .htaccess but it doesn't mean you can set the memory for php at any size, there are still some limitation, and some share hosting company even doesn't allow you to consume more than 64M per account
