I would like to be able to attach a file to a profile. I've enabled the profile and upload modules but that doesn't seem to do the trick.

Any ideas?

Is a profile a real node? It doesn't look like it's handled the same way as other nodes.

This is a feature requested for the profile module developers because there are no possibility to attach directly a file. Maybe doing a new flexinode or aggregating contents, sincerely I dont know.
We also need this feature for companies profiles (attachement of 3 slides in a pdf file).

I couldn't find that feature request. Are you sure one has been entered? Can you provide a URL?

I also need this feature for a client. I'll look to develop it if necessary (presumably by patching profile.module to expose a new field type that works with filemanager.module or similar).

There was a module or a patch associated with Profile + Attachment.

A non-coder's workaround :)

What if we use QUOTE.module with attachment enabled? If using QUOTE, you will get to see `View user's recent quotes' link.

So maybe rename `view users recent quotes' to `View user's attachments'.

And user also get to input some short text explaining what is inside the attachments
