Hi there,
I have a need to include support in your module to automatically assign rights to my users. This can easily (hmmm) be achieved using the Rules module. So I want to write a contrib module that checks whether the Rules module is installed. If so, it lets you install this contrib and all of a sudden you can automatically add term and role permissions to the users.
I'm posting here to know whether you'd be okay to have a contrib sub-folder instead of creating an all new separate module "just for that". It would not make sense to add the functionality to the Rules module since your module is not (yet) part of the Core.

I actually created a new module, I guess that overall it will be simpler to manage.
Just one thing, if you don't mind adding a link to the project on your module front page: http://drupal.org/project/tacle_rules
That way people who have such a need can find it easy.
