Hi

My site has the usual content types (blog, image, page, story and so on). All of them are enabled in the administration and users have the required permissions to add them. Actually they can do so if they access the direct URL (http://mysite.com/node/add/page, etc). However, only two content types are appearing in http://mysite.com/node/add. The first one (blog) appears with its full description, but the second one (image) displays just the link (which is working) but no description at all.

Any idea on how to recover the display of the hidden content types?

If it was my site I'd first try switching the theme to Garland and see if that makes any difference. If not, I'd try disabling all my contrib modules and see if one of them is doing it.
