Atom Integration in Feed aggregator

I am a little puzzled - My aggregation module is working OK except for Atom feeds. The feeds were checked with another (brand) site and work. All the forum stuff I found was years old so I assume this was resolved, just not working for me.

which module are you using for aggregation?

I am using the built in Feed aggregator (Aggregator 6.12). I have also installed the FeedAPI module, but have not done anything with it (other than enable it) yet.

I believe Feedapi is what you will need or the atom.module
