Assigning attributes to posts

I am trying to make it so every post has numerical attributes assigned to it. I'm making a car database as practice and I want each car to be catalogued with horsepower, displacement, curb weight, and torque. I'd eventually like those attributes to be searchable. This would be something more robust than simple tagging. There would be separate search fields that searched for each attribute. I'm not going to worry yet about the search part, but just the attributes. Is there a special module for this?
