I would like to be the maintainer for this module. I am working on updating it for 6.x right now and have a number of nice little extras to add. I'd like to then move on to the theme layer functions.

Basically, I'm requesting commit access to the SVN repository. I would be happy to post my work as patches for review before committing anything if that is preferable.
