I've run across syntax errors in loginticket.install and loginticket.module in the realeased version of loginticket-5.x-1.6 that prevent the module from installing and running properly.
I've attached a patch file that fixes the issue.

Whoops . . . was copying changes from the 6.x branch and wasn't careful enough with the items that were 5.x specific. Committing changes and releasing 5.x-1.7.
