help with vague: The selected file /hom.... could not be copied

I just installed audio. I'm trying to post my first file. At first I had trouble with my temp dir not being writable. I changed it to 777. But now, I'm getting:

* The selected file /home/virtual/sitexxx/fst/var/www/html/tmp_gslc/tmp_QTf5HQ could not be copied.
* The following errors where encountered while reading the file's ID3 tags:
o Could not open file ""
* Artist field is required.
* Title field is required.
[warning in green]
This file is not compatible with the Flash audio player. Flash can only play MP3 files with a sample rate of 11, 22 or 44KHz.

The file has a sample rate of 44100, I'm guessing I'm getting that info in green, and the last three red errors because the file was not copied. But I cannot tell why the file was not copied.

How can I tell why it was not copied?

I looked in the watchdog log, but the last entry was from before I changed the permissions on the temp directory.

I'm in #drupal-support as YesCT in case anyone wants to respond real time.
