Duplicate entires from revisions

The report at /admin/reports/auditfiles/notonserver seems to list lots of duplicate entries. A bit of digging revealed that these were in fact revisions for the same node, when I delete old revisions of nodes, all the duplicate entries disappeared. I suspect that this is not intended behaviour, as I see little point in auditing old node histories. Especially as any reverted historic node would be re-audited on the fly when the report is run. Can I ask that this issue be considered for resolution in a future release?
