Incompatible with latest version of CCK

Description
I have many fields which have access control on them. I have been using CCK v 5x-1.7, and CCK Field Permissions 5x-1.10.
I recently updated to CCK v 5x-1.10, and all the fields no longer have access control on them. They became "open" to all roles once the new version of CCK was installed.
I took out the new version...rolled back to 5x-1.7, and all is good again.
Any suggestions to implement?
