I am a beginner trying to build a site that lets registered users connect as friends and view each other's private image galleries.
What is the best way to do this? I am now using the User Relationships module to set up user relationships and that seems to work properly. I have installed Gallery2 but cannot seem to find the right combination of settings to enable the shared galleries. Can I accomplish my goal with these two tools? Are they compatible?
Any help is appreciated.

I am not sure there is any way to do this. AFAIK, the only way to limit access to images is using Gallery's internal system which is limited to groups, like anon users, authenticated users, admins, etc. Using the Drupal User Relationships module would not affect Gallery...
You could create groups in Drupal and mirror them in Gallery, but that would be a huge pain and would not accomplish want you were looking for.

I'm usign the module image with the internal image_gallery... I woudl like to have an functionality which allows every user to create an Gallery. Then th esingle user should have an option to set the gallery private or visible to friends or to all users...
Have someone an idea how to create this????
