Hi
I need ability to enable smileys only for certain content types, (At this moment there's only option which allows enabling for all nodes which is bad).

Have you actually checked the smileys settings? There *is* a setting for that.

I have 6.x-1.0-alpha5 version and there are settings for the "select box", and yes indeed I can select on which type it appears, but I can't select on which type smileys appears in text, so they're just about everywhere now…

umm no. that issue's something else, but as said in it's #4 comment, it's a good fit for having different input format for different content type. not really sure if i want to include this in smileys itself, yet.
