User cannot delete own comment

I have permissions set so that an authenticated user should be able to edit and delete their own comments, but when the hit delete it just sends them back to the parent node's page. Any ideas? I have other content types with the same permissions set and users can delete those without any problem. Thank you in advance for any responses.
