All my core search result records (for watchable node types) start with "... post, click to start watching" or "... are not watching this post, click to start watching" . I guess the problem will be solved by http://drupal.org/node/263117, meanwhile any suggestion for a work around is welcome.

Correct. In the meantime, see the README file for a temporary solution. The template method should sort this too.
