Good timing. I started conversion to 6 last week. I think it may be mostly working at the moment except for the actions code which sends out notification emails when the report is ready. I also haven't fully tested things as i haven't installed the PECL libraries on my new devel PC.

I'll include a zip here and you can try it out of you like. I have been sidelined to work on something else for next couple weeks - but will finish this off and post to project page once that is done with.

My original client for this (About.com / NY Times), as i mentioned above, has decided to have me port this over to Drupal 6. It was a high priority for a while there but has slipped (slightly) to the back burner. Should likely pick up conversion of this in 2-3 weeks.

Has anyone tried the initial port to 6 that i include in the ZIP file here?
