I hope this is the right forum.

I am customizing a theme. I downloaded the "Light Fantastic" theme. It works fine. I decided to make some changes. One thing I want to do is replace the banner image. I created a new jpeg image in GIMP. I renamed the original banner image ("intro_bk.jpg" to "intro_bk_old.jpg") and named mine "intro_bk.jpg" so I wouldn't have to change any code.

It doesn't work. The image doesn't show. Not in any browser. I took another GIMP image and named it "intro_bk.jpg" and it works. I inserted my first image directly into the page with HTML, and that works. I can also view the file in image editors and Windows preview mode.

It seems the only thing that doesn't work is calling my image from a CSS file.

Thoughts?

name of the image case sensitive!?
There might be problems with the file name itself (underscore or hyphen) or filename extension.

Good luck.

You seem as stumped as I am! :)

It's strange, but I found a workaround. I placed the image in the main folder so I didn't have to give a path to the image...it works now (for whatever reason).
