When I use the german language as default, I get errors like this:

Die ausgewählte Datei /srv/www/vhosts/kurse.ohg-goe.net/httpdocs/uploads/tmp2/fileF6Css9 konnte nicht kopiert werden.

When I activate english as default, the errors disappear.

Any ideas? In the log, it says

Your files directory is not configured correctly. It has to have rwx for all groups (chmod 777 sites/default/files)

Hi,

I have changed the files-directory, and I have set mode 777 for that directory and for the temporary directory.

Where does the system try to copy the files to?

I had forgotten to switch of safe mode, sorry. This seems to be connected somehow, but now the error is gone.
