upgrade existing photo blog / webcam site

I was waiting until I fixed my webcam to post this one. I just got it back online ( note that at time of posting, its one hour to sunset ).

I would like to integrate this cam into the front page. Since its a beach cam, 12 hours a day its going to be blank.. so I was thinking of attaching a setting so that for 12 hours a day it shows a slideshow of the weeks most popular images.. and the rest of the time, the webcam.

Check the home page.. we are updating 10 or so photos per day to the site and will be doing so every day.

We also update a daily surf forecast / visual surf report.

We also like the idea of focusing on content rating... choosing the best surf shots.

The site is intended to be fun.. look at the pics.. we are a surf hotel and cafe posting them.. so we want the site to be fun to use and friendly too.

I would like to put the home page together differently.. to focus on these aspects a little better.

Also, I have a small list of other items I might need help with, only 1 comes to mind and that I was having a little trouble getting the custom pagers to work properly.. as you can see if you navigate to an individual image and it shows only 10 to page through. I just want to make it simpler to move around the site and navigate the images. We have a lot of good images and they are kind of getting lost in the shuffle as we update everyday.
