more of a question about this mod's capabilities ;-) Is it possible to use this to add a checkbox to the checkout area of UberCart? Currently (unbelievably) UberCart doesn't have this which means there's nothing tying customer's going through checkout to subscribing to the newsletter. That means I'm getting db full of customer email addresses - but I can't use it because I don't know if they've opted in to the mailing list....

Sounds like a good idea. It would take some effort though. The settings and access design would be the same, but you'd probably have to set up the table to work off ubercart IDs and would change the page that the new settings are injected into (from the simplenews pages to somewhere in the ubercart purchase pages).
