After upgrading the module to 6.x-2.2 'admin/reports/updates' page still shows 6.x-2.0 which triggers a notice for available update for the module.

that doesn't make much sense... are you sure you upgraded the right copy of the module? perhaps you've got an old copy in sites/default/modules and updated the one in sites/all/modules?

drewish, that might be the case. i have multisite installation, so probably i saw that message because i put the module in two different place. for now i don't see the error message. thanks.
