need hack to a file attach/upload module

I am looking for someone to modify one of the file attach or upload file to node modules. Can be core upload, or CCK filefield, or whichever gets the job done.

D6 is prefered, but D5 may be acceptable
This is for a low budget non-profit.

Basically, I need it to, in addition to its normal functionality, to check a specific non-web accessible directory for files. If it finds any, it should offer them all in a dropdown fso that one can be attached.
This is for attaching huge files.
It should delete the original file when the node is posted.

NO JAVASCRIPT.

Please quote price for finished job.
It just needs to work; not worried about clugie aspects, such as hardcoded paths.
