I have added 7 pages in my menu, and I want the link of HOME to be my homepage.
Right now it's showing:

Welcome to your new Drupal website!

Please follow these steps to set up and start using your website:

1. Configure your website Once logged in, visit the administration section, where you can customize and configure all aspects of your website.
2. Enable additional functionality Next, visit the module list and enable features which suit your specific needs. You can find additional modules in the Drupal modules download section.
3. Customize your website design To change the "look and feel" of your website, visit the themes section. You may choose from one of the included themes or download additional themes from the Drupal themes download section.
4. Start posting content Finally, you can create content for your website. This message will disappear once you have promoted a post to the front page.

For more information, please refer to the help section, or the online Drupal handbooks. You may also post at the Drupal forum, or view the wide range of other support options available.

Promote one page you created to frontpage or go to "Site information" under "Site configuration" and in the bottom choose your default front page.

perfect, thanks!
maybe a last question: why is there a VIEW and an EDIT button on top?

If I'm seeing this because I'm logged in >> How do I log out? I can't see any LOG OUT button :O

Because you are still logged in 'Edit' button is still there. Please log out and see.

In the default Graland theme, in the left hand side column, you have your Create content, etc. menu items are there. the last one is log out.

Sorry for the time lag.
Click on the 'log out' Your site should be perfect!

but I set the view of that login block to "none" because I don't want this on our website...

But your log out menu item should still be there in the menu regiion.

People don't want to show the log in button at times (in other words, it is not posted into any block).

But, nobody would like to disable 'log out' button!

May be your views are not configured properly!??

anyway, if all other people have a good view, I'm ok with this :D
