Litejazz theme on drupal 6: collapsed text in main content on front page

giozzz - June 18, 2009 - 14:13

Hello, I've installed Litejazz, and found a problem: I write text for the homepage, and when I save and promote it to front page, it results collapsed: I see the title and a line tells me "Read more".... if I click on it all text is displayed, but I don't want this.
Another question I have is: how can I delete the line just above texts where it says "content created by..... on ..current date.."?

And, finally, .. is there a way in Litejazz to change background, body, header color? cause I've tried changing settings in style.css but it doesn't work....

Hope someone answers!!!!! thanks to everybody

Nothing wrong with the theme. Go to Administer->Content Management->Post settings->change the length of the trimmed posts and save the configuration.

Thank you, but this doesn't

Ok I solved... I only had to chheck "expanded" in the page where it is asked how to publish content linked to a menu voice thanks!!

Delete the node

Once you have changed the post settings to (say) unlimited, delete the original node and create a new node (page). Are you using a regular page or story node or are you using cck to create custom content?

Also, what input format are you using? Are you using a WYSIWYG editor like tinymce or fckeditor?

hello, as you see I finally

hello, as you see I finally found a solution, but I'll answer to you anyway cause maybe you can tell me if I'm working correctly: I use fckeditor+Wysiwyg, and I usually check php code as input format, cause I found out it's the only way to have justified paragraphs and formatted characters like in a Word sheet. But I read somewhere using php code as input format can somehow cause errors....

php filter

gmasky - June 19, 2009 - 12:10

The php filter is only to be used by trusted users and for php code. You could create a custom input format (say) Rich Text that allows certain html tags like at drupal.org http://drupal.org/filter/tips

You can also try using the tiny tinmce wysiwyg editor http://drupal.org/project/tinytinymce

I see... so you suggest to

I see... so you suggest to drop php code... *sigh*.. it was so simple.....
I read the pages you linked, but still I can't understand one thing: fckeditors doesn't allow the same formatting options as tiny (or tinytiny)mce?? I'll give it a try as soon as I can (as to say: on monday!!!!!!!!!!!! ;)) ... you assure to me the tinytinymce comes with features as justify and etc...?
and...really I can't go with php? but what kinda problems could I face in the future, posting content under that filter? .. just if you (or someone) know/want to tell me.... (I'll go googling anyway but maybe you've had personal experience on this issue).
what I really can't understand is.. why, if text editors like fck come with all options, those options won't work until I create a custom input format where I have to put html tags? weren't these editors created to skip the code writing??????? this is a real mistery to me!!!!!!
thanks again, and have a nice friday!!!
