The other day i tried out a fresh copy of d7 to see what all this usability enhancement hullabaloo was about. I have to say im rather impressed. I love the changes so far and especially the changes to the node/edit form. Even its its early stage of development it is looking quite good, keep up the good work everyone. But to my main question:
Are there any plans to backport some of these usability enhancements from d7 back to d6? I understand that some of them might not be plausible because of current limitations. Im not sure whether this would be done by a core developer or a third party dev. Im just curious if anyone was going to have a whack at backporting them. I think many users would be quite interested in them, even if they are not going to get here soon.
Also other than just general usability, one feature i would love to see backported the the new gui for the node/edit for which is pretty slick.

I would think getting ui improvements backported will pretty much depend on whether someone feels like doing it. In the case of the node/edit form (if you're talking about vertical tabs), there's already a module for d6: http://drupal.org/project/vertical_tabs.

Yea i know its if someone is up to taking it on, thats what im wondering of someone is thinking about or going to try and do it.
