The example on this Handbook page http://drupal.org/node/289738 looks like a good one (Create a view on a node reference field). Suggest adding it to the Advanced Help inside Views, and then archiving the Handbook page when this has been done.

I'm going to give a whack at this. I'm away this week, but I can tackle this at the weekend.

I spent time going through the tutorial, checking each step, and clarifying.

I have to double check the formatting/style.

I'd like to try and make a patch for this (learning!)

As it is, the tutorial doesn't explain how to any particular display to use.

I am thinking of not including the Alternate uses, as it's not clear enough as-is, and expanding it would make the tutorial twice as long.

Instead, possibly show how to make this block appear on a 'artist' page, passing the artist ID? Or maybe use Embed views or something. Not sure. Ideas welcome.
