It would be nice if drush_sm could report on the current state of user permissions too.

Even without an option to set the permissions, this would help synchronize changes between development, staging, and live versions of a site.

If I ever have time I'll write this myself but for now I wanted to make a note of it so I didn't forget this idea.

@mvc: How does drush_sm compare to http://drupal.org/project/features

As drush_sm still lacks importing views / cck should we continu using drush_sm?

What I like about features is that it groups modules and content types into a module which can be staged. But I'm still struggling with features and variables :(
