I am testing the new functionality of the new multigroup module, and If using views to display a field that has been contained in a multigroup, views outputs the field or fields the number of times the multi group has been used in the node.

Example: If a node is using three multigroups, with fields image and title, and you create a view using the fields image and titles, than views displays the nodes fields the number of times the multigroups are being used in every node. and If you select distinct for the Views properties you still get the same behavior.

Is this by design?
if so will there be a views multigroup field display for sorting each field set = multigroup by the name of the multigroup child group? I can see where this would make multgroups very useful. Though this type of implantation might require making child group names required, and a views sort by child group name. and possibly and preferably a select list filter.
Example: if you had a content type image, with the child groups - front view, side view, and back view, you could select a filter option to display images of those types for ever node in the view.

Some further thoughts on views and multigroups: Child groups as a views relationship.

Note: i dont know if any of this is within the scope of the multigroup module, but If any of this is possible I will open up the proper feature requests.

Thanks for all the hard work that has gone into this Module and CCK, and to every one involved.
