Evening all,

I'm looking at what would be involved in creating a website for a car dealership. Nothing too fancy but I've been completely overwhelmed by the modules, content and numerous routes I could take that I can't really see the wood for the trees. The requirements are:

  1. Allow admin to submit a car listing (I assume this would be a custom node, maybe using flexinode) with:
  • ability to provide data for car spec (e.g. make, model, colour, mileage, etc)
  • up to around 6 images per car with thumbnails and links to full size display
  • Allow public site users to search based on car criteria (make, model, colour, mileage, etc)
  • Ability to list/sort cars according to different criteria
  • A "Contact Us" form allows users to specify a car make/model etc they are looking for
  • I'm sure something similar must have been done before so I was hoping maybe somebody could point me in the right direction. I'm thinking the webform module for the last point but not sure on others. I'm certainly not shy of getting stuck into writing my own module but there's no point reinventing the wheel.

    Many thanks in advance.

    Will

Is there anything I can add to help with responses? Apologies if this has been covered before or is too much of a newbie question.

Links to anything the I've missed during searching would be most appreciated.
