Hi I'm using Google CSE, but also built in search engine. I'd like to create a custom block where one can chose which search engine preffers, I'm thinking about ajax checkbox upon clicking which search box is switched from google cse into content search.

You read my mind! I'm trying to do the exact same thing (I think). When you go to /search, I want to see the "Advanced Search" link, and also another expandable link for "Google Search". Did you have any success?
