The "bonus pack" concept may have worked out in earlier iterations with the sheer number of features. However, per the module description, v6 is just two unrelated features.
Please split the v6 line into separate modules. Separation will enhance module findability, understandability, manageability, and maintainability. And it may help merge splinter efforts like #496652: Please merge with Views Bonus Pack.

aren cambre commentedLooking through the issues, it appears that 1. there may be other trivial features in v6 beside the two on the description and 2. Views Export has substantially more traction than the other modules. If nothing else, at least split Views Export into its own module. The other features might be trivial enough to remain in a bonus pack.

neclimdulMy priority for the 6.x-1.x release of Views Bonus is to provide a conceptual upgrade for users from the 5.x version of the module. After that I'm open to discussing moving views bonus export out of views bonus. Views export is a pretty bad name anyways since views has a module with the same name.
aren cambre commentedOpened #528164: Potentially confusing use of "export" in Views issue queue to bring this to merlinofchaos's attention.
neclimdulNah, it'd need to be a different module name. Or by becoming part of views datasource.
aren cambre commentedHow is this progressing? If export could be its own module, that may allow better focus for a D7 and Views 3 upgrade.
neclimdulI'm not actively working on this. I don't see why it would actually help focus on a D7 upgrade. That work can be done while in views_bonus just as well.
aren cambre commentedIt would help focus because the upgrade wouldn't be held back by other modules that, per activity in the issues queue, are hardly used.
nally commentedsubscribe (sorry for previous hijack)
aren cambre commented#8: please start a new issue for your question. This issue is about forking Views Export.
aren cambre commentedGiven D7's progress, this may be a good idea for a D7 upgrade.
steven jones commentedSo we forked the data export functionality into its own module for other reasons. We're looking at porting the features to D7 too.
aren cambre commentedExcellent! What is this module?

aren cambre commentedDo any issues need to be transferred there?
steven jones commentedWell, as it isn't an 'official' fork, we can't really steal issues, that wouldn't be right. We can duplicate issues however.
neclimdulAny issues specifically for views bonus pack still apply to views bonus pack. Maintenance on it is not being dropped.
