Saving filter information should not bump the tribune in the tracker

Currently saving a tribune I think resaves the whole node which bumps the tribune in the tracker - and I have members asking "what has changed" etc - not big problems or anything, but to me it just seems that when filters are applied/removed, the whole node should not be updated, just the tribune settings?
Is this a stupid idea? (probably)

You could just tell your users the filters have been changed?

I do. This is just a cosmetic thing that most end users will not care about and should not. It just struck me as odd though that the whole node was being resaved.

But the whole node is resaved because the tribune itself is a node.
