I can't find the clean urls module for 5.x
If you mean aliases, there's the path module which is part of core (enable at admin/build/modules) or the http://drupal.org/project/pathauto contributed module.
I'm looking for the module that gets rid of the ?q=
It's apart of 6 but not 5
That's not a module but a setting at admin/settings/clean-urls.
