I'm trying to get the Excerpt module to run under 4.6.5.
Unfortunately, when I enable the module and create new content, no field appears to enter the exceprt. The module instructions say to go to "administer >> content >> configure >> default workflow" to control which nodes it appears in, but when I get to the "configure" part of that step, no "defautl workflow" link is present. When i type in the admin/node/configure/defautls link directly, I don't get any options for exceprt though I do get a sentence telling me to pick which nodes I want it to work for.
Question:
Does this "default workflow" thing exist in 4.6.5?
Either way it appears to be an excerpt module problem, but that should give me some idea of the right way to pursue it.

Try this
The information for excerpt seems to not have been updated for 4.6. You want to go to administer -> content -> configure (tab) -> content types (sub tab) - path = admin/node/configure/types.
There for each content type you have enable, click the 'configure' link to configure a given content type, including the setting per content type setting for the excerpt module.
I have 2 similar issues
I have 2 similar issues using 4.6.5, using:
administer-> content-> content types-> configure-> content types
1) Default options: selected checkboxes do not hold their value for any content type.
2) With the voting.module turned on in modules, the option to Enable/Disable voting appears in the configuration options for every content type. Yet even when Disable voting is selected for a particular content type, nodes of that type still permit voting to be enabled/disabled on a per-node basis (and voting does seem to work when it is enabled and used on a node).
I will also post this last issue in the voting.module project.
