New site: Electronic Thinking | Technical skills for practical people

www.ElectronicThinking.com is a new site that helps you learn about electronics, programming, and precision metalwork as a hobby or to create and market your own inventions.

We are using Drupal 6.x and Ubercart to manage a catalog of about 530 electronic components and there is much more to be added such as a full line of metric hardware and springs.

While we offer parts and kits, our real focus is helping people learn and apply new skills. We are producing a series of instructional videos that will be coming soon in about a month. Anyway, I hope you all like it. Check out the blog where I have a post that talks about taking pictures for the site and some of the problems that I encountered. Also instead of using the secure pages module, the site redirects all traffic to https.

If you have an OpenId account, you can use it to sign in. If you're like me, a single identity that does not create duplicate passwords on every site is a huge relief. The OpenId module works great.
