I archive electronica music mixes on my site. We already use the Category module to organize these mixes by radio show type and year, such as Essential Mix 2009, John Digweed Transitions 2008, etc...
But I'd like another way of classifying each mix by its Type of Music, such as House, Trance, Breakbeat... Some are even multiple types so ideally the module would present a list of checkboxes that a user could check for each mix, and then have these 'Types' be browsable from a list or block.
I've searched the modules pages for terms like 'type', 'node type', 'node style', 'content type', etc.. but have not found anything that can do this.
Anyone know of something?
thanks

I've never used the category module-- normally this type of thing is handled via the core taxonomy module. Another option would be to add cck textfields as select lists or checkboxes and then use views (with 'exposed filters') to construct a page that users can interact with to find what they're looking for.
